“改革是中国的第二次革命”、“改革需要继续开放”。改革开放以来中国取得的辉煌成就表明，改革开放顺应了时代潮流，符合中国特色社会主义发展的需要，是开创中国特色社会主义的起点。改革开放不但开辟了中国特色社会主义新的道路，而且创造了中华民族新的历史，是实现中国现代化的必然选择。当前，改革开放进入攻坚阶段，改革开放能否继续稳妥地进行，直接关系到党全面建成小康社会、直接关系到社会主义现代化建设和中华民族伟大复兴。
