Denitration ammonia area was a chemical workshop of fossil fired power plant, which was one of the new facilities. The electric power industry design, operation and management engineer were biased for understanding of ammonia area lightning protection facilities. The lightning protection design code of denitration ammonia area was analyzed in detail, based on the petrochemical and building lightning protection specification. Combined with some completed projects on ammonia in lightning protection design, the guiding suggestion, and reference for design and operation management engineer were put forward.
