Using Grinding-Molten-XRF method, the content of silica in the sand was analyzed with X ray fluorescence analyzer. The accurate analysis of silica content of 80% ~99% in the sand can be achieved by choosing the optimal sample preparation and eliminate the interference of coexisting elements. The reliability of the method was verified by testing the accuracy and precision. This method was easy operation, non-toxic, with high accuracy, etc.
