Cryogenic tank research is the key of the next generation launch vehicle for space exploration .Polymer com-posites due to the superior properties were used for cryogenic tanks ,which significantly improve the performance of the fu-ture space system.In this paper,the structures and property requirements of launch vehicles were summarized .The compos-ite tank containing liquid hydrogen or liquid oxygen and the other parts for propulsion system were developed and applied .
