Technical data, electromagnetic and struc-tural design, cooling system of wound-rotor three-phase asynchronous motor,which was used as driver of the scrap shedder as well as the design key point of the main parts of it were introduced briefly. The test result showed that motor was characterized with low temperature-rise, high effi-ciency and overload capacity, completely meeting with the application requirement of scrap shedder.
