现代职业教育体系对中高职衔接提出了必然的要求，而课程衔接是中高职衔接的重要组成部分。针对目前大学英语课程中高职衔接中存在的重复学习、模式守旧等问题，本文提出了大学英语课程跨层次、跨专业衔接、进行校本教材开发、将英语纳入专业课程体系考量和引入职业资格考试证书的课程观。
