The teacher is the organizers and implementers of teaching. The key to improve the teaching quality of the national defense education in colleges and universities is to establish a high quality of professional teachers is the national defense education. Using SWOT method, for the development of the national defense education in colleges and universities teachers' strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats were analyzed, and puts forward some countermeasures for the development of the national defense education in colleges and universities.
