中美两国兵役制度发展有着截然不同的历史，但是从发展的角度来看，两国在兵役制度演变规律方面除了具有自己历史文化的独特性之外，还具有某种程度的相似性。梳理两国兵役制度发展规律的异同有助于提出并解决中国当前兵役制度所存在的问题及明确变革的目标与措施，藉以强化我国国防力量与公民国防意识。

China and America have different historical development of bilateral military service system .From a viewpoint of development, evolutions of military service system in these two countries have both their own character-istics, and some similarities.An analysis of the similarities and differences is helpful both to the problems in current military service system in China, and to the objectives and measures of reform.It is also helpful to strengthen na-tional defense force and the awareness of national defense of citizens.
