近年来,气候变化对极地环境产生深远的影响,进一步影响到持久性有机污染物(persistent organic pollutants, POPs)在极地同环境介质之间的分布和迁移。对极地海洋生态系统而言,气候变化导致的海冰消融和开放性海域面积增加,使得表层海水和海冰中的POPs物质再次释放进入大气;同时气候变化导致的极地海洋初级生产力降低会对海洋生物泵产生影响,而使得极地海洋中的POPs物质难以进入深海,增加极地生态系统对POPs的暴露。对极地陆地生态系统而言,POPs的地球化学循环受到温度增加,及其导致的土壤有机质含量增加共同作用的影响。

Global climate change has had profound impacts on the environment of the polar regions,and on the distribu-tion and transport of persistent organic pollutants (POPs)in marine and terrestrial ecosystems.In marine ecosys-tems,the loss of sea ice and increasing areas of open water have lead to the re-emission of POPs trapped in the ice sheet and the ocean.Furthermore,the decrease in primary productivity caused by climate change,and the impact of this decrease on the performance of the biological pump,have reduced the deposition of POPs in the deep ocean, increasing the biological exposure to these substances.In terrestrial ecosystems,the remobilization of POPs has been driven by changes in temperature and soil organic matter.
