Carbon-based solid acid catalyst is a novel kind of solid acid catalyst. This paper introduced the advantages of carbon-based solid acid catalyst. It summed up the classification of carbon-based solid acid based on the different structure, such as normal, porous, and ordered mesopore, and summarized the preparation and applications of the carbon-based solid acid catalysts.
