Ultra hydrophobicity and oleophobicity of chemical compound are widely used in water and oil resist-ance, corrosion and pollution prevention and self-cleaning materials. The synthesis and application of fluorine-con-taining hydrophobic and oleophobic organics have aroused much research interests in recent years. In this paper, the physical and chemical properties of fluorine -containing hydrophobic and oleophobic organics are summarized, re-search advances of fluorine-containing fishing agent, fluorine-containing polymer, surface modification with fluo-rine-containing organics are reviewed.
