构建了基于 FPGA 的运动目标检测系统,系统包括视频数据的采集、缓存、显示、色彩空间转换及运动目标检测等模块。运动目标检测采用基于块均值的帧间差分法,这种方法有效地减少了需要存储和运算的数据量,降低了像素噪声对检测结果的影响。经测试,该系统能提供清晰稳定的监控画面,实现640像素×480像素,30帧/s 视频信号的运动目标实时检测,并能在检测到运动目标后立刻发出报警信号。本系统消耗的逻辑资源较少,能够在小规模的 FPGA 芯片上实现,可推广应用于社区安防、生产安全监控等领域。

This paper builds a moving object detection system based on a FPGA chip. The system consists of video data acquisition, buffering, display, color space conversion and moving object detection modules. It uses frame difference algorithm based on block average value to detect. This method reduces the data volume which needs to be buffered and processed effectively and reduces the error detection caused by pixels noise. Test results show that the system can provide a stable and clear surveillance picture, detect moving object in 640 ×480 pixels, 30 frames/s video streams and send out an alarm signal immediately, then a moving object is detected. This system costs a small amount of logic resource , so it can be implemented on a small scale FPGA chip. It can be utilized in various fields such as community security and production safety.
