明代被佛教史研究者视为佛教思想呆滞的保守期。在这个保守时代，女性群体与佛教之间的关系是微妙的。女性在遵循传统的封建礼教标准的同时，又努力在佛教信仰过程中开辟出自由的生存空间。近十年来，史学界对明代的女性群体与佛教关系也有为数不少的研究成果。在回顾明代女性与佛教关系研究的缘起和发展状况的同时，从女性的佛教观、佛教中女性的主体地位和文学作品中女尼形象这三方面来对明时期女性与佛教关系作深入的探讨，对这一领域的研究状况进行归纳和评述也势必为该领域的进一步发展产生一定的意义。

The Ming Dynasty was the conservative period in the study of the history of Buddhism. In the conservative era, the relationship between female group and Buddhism is subtle. Women must follow the traditional feudal ethics standards, at the same time, make efforts to open up a free living space in the Buddhist belief. In recent ten years, there are many research results about the relationship between Buddhist and women in historian circle. In the review of the study of the origin and development of relationship between Buddhist and women in Ming Dynasty, the female viewpoint of Buddhism, Buddhism female subjectivity and the image of female, the paper investigates the relationship between women and Buddhism in the Ming period, which has certain significance for further development of the study in this field.
