近代以来中国女性身体的解放形成了女性解放运动的一个重要组成部分。从解放小脚到解放乳房，从束胸到放胸，中国女性逐步走向身体的自由，而这一过程与女性内衣的变革有着千丝万缕的联系。民国时期内衣文化现象有力地透射出了中国女性身体解放的艰难历程。同时，在女性内衣的变革及女性身体的解放中，政府、社会舆论及广告媒体等都起到了有力的推动作用。
