以脉动球源为研究对象，探索快速多极边界元算法（ FMM）预报辐射噪声的精度、计算效率和存在问题。建立了FMM算法的理论模型，阐述了相对于传统声学边界元算法的计算优势、对三维空间声场的计算效果和当前应用中仍存在的不足。单位振速脉动球源三维空间声辐射、刚性壁面外单位振速脉动球源半无限空间声辐射、单极源激励球源三维空间声辐射以及单位激励活塞球源声辐射的计算表明， FMM算法能够在保持辐射噪声计算精度的条件下极大地提高计算效率，可扩展用于大尺度结构的辐射噪声工程预报。

The precision, computational efficiency and existing problems of the fast multipole boundary element method ( FMM) in noise prediction are presented by applying it to the radiated noise of a fluctuating sphere source.All the theoretical model, potential advantages compared with the traditional boundary element method ( BEM) , numerical precision for the 3-D acoustic space and the deficiency in application of FMM are addressed. Radiation predictions from a pulsating sphere on the full space, from a reflecting rigid wall, and from a vibrating sphere stimulated by a monopole source show that, the FMM algorithm is able to satisfy the acoustic results con-veniently, fast and precisely, and it can be extended to solve the large-scale acoustic problems in engineering.
