A new quad-modality integrated molecular imaging system for small animal was invented, which integrated the modalities of computed tomography (CT), positron emission tomography (PET), single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) and lfuorescent molecular tomography (FMT). The imaging results of mouse models of tumors and inflammation revealed that the multi-modality integrated comprehensive reconstruction can provide more structural, functional and metabolic information than the single modality.
