With some simply supported I -beam bridge as project background , this paper detects and analyzes diseases and causes of bridge completely and draws a conclusion that soil filling in large amount under the bridge is primary cause for deviation of piers and relative displacement of pier beams .Since the danger of beam fall and collapse of bridge exists , this paper compares and investigates demolishing schemes for part of dangerous spans in the bridge repetitively and determines adoption of safe , reliable , economical and practical demolishing scheme , this can provide a reference for maintenance of expressway bridges and treatment of similar accidents .
