The development process of polybutylene-1 random copolymer were briefly introduced. The proper-ties of PB 4235 and Akoafloor PB-R 509,the former belong to the polybutene-1 homopolymer and the latter belong to the polybutylene-1 random copolymer which had the same application area,were compared. At the same time, the main features and application of polybutylene-1 random copolymer were listed. In the meantime,the develop-ment prospects of domestic polybutylene-1 random copolymer was explained briefly.
