“年表”作为作家传记中不可缺少的内容，必须做到真实准确。然而在张爱玲传记之一《我的姊姊张爱玲》一书中，“张爱玲生平·作品年表”却出现多处错误和遗漏。这一现象也从一个侧面体现出中国现代文学研究在文献史料问题上的不严谨，从学科发展角度来说，应该更加重视文献史料的发掘和整理。

A“chronological table”, integral to the biographies of an author, must be true and accurate. However, the chronological table of Eileen Chang’s life and works, in Eileen Chang, My Older Sister, is full of mistakes and omissions, which in part reflects the imprecision in the documentary sources and historical material of the literature in relation to the studies of modern Chinese literature. More attention should be paid to the unearthing and reorganization of documentary sources and historical material from a developmental angle in the discipline.
