本文对张爱玲写作于1970年代的长篇散文《谈看书》及《谈看书后记》进行文本细读,试图论证在这两篇通常被认为是冗长繁复,几近“枯笔”之作中,其实蕴含着统一而坚定的本土文艺美学观念;《谈看书》及后记可视为这种统摄了张爱玲整个后半生———流散书写时期的、可冠名为“张看”的创作观,在文本一显一隐两个层面具体而微道成肉身式的表演和展示。

This paper offers a close reading of Eileen Chang’s notoriously long diaspora essay writings“On Reading”and“Afterword of On Reading”, trying to argue that, these two essays should be read as an embodiment of Chang’s consistent adaptation of a native aesthetics on fictional writings. Chang not only voiced such native aesthetic explicitly, but also performs such reading on the textual level:from citation of anthropological materials to a deconstructive reading of the myth“Mutiny On the Bounty”, she put the canonical western narrative aesthetics into question.
