Legal translation has been an important medium for learning from the West. The period of the Repub-lic of China is one of the most significant periods among Modern China in the area of legal translation. Among these translations, there are numerous works which come from different countries and different translators of va-riety backgrounds, representing different genres and reflecting different constitutional thoughts. The major translations are from UK, USA, France, Germany, Japan and other countries, covering both constitutional theo-ries and theory of the state, including the constitutional system, comparative constitutional law and other as-pects. The translators include both jurists who had inherently social influence and international students who worked for cultural exchanges between Eastern and Western countries. The translators have their own academic backgrounds and values, which encourages them to create different styles of translation. A large number of con-stitutional translations bring prosperous constitutional thoughts, which makes a great impact on the political theories and political practices at that time. The rich constitutional translations are still the valuable reference for the transformation of today’s society.
