The paper references the principle of catfish effect, discusses the necessity to introduce catfish effect into university subject librarian training. The paper puts forwards that getting catfish effect talents from internal mining and external introducing, tak-ing various incentive measures, building catfish effect-based incentive mechanism, and stimulating subject librarians ’ work enthusiasm and responsibility, to promote the development of undertakings of university subject librarian.
