Diabetes mellitus is a chronic systemic disease which is affected by the genetic factor and environmental agent . According to the recent study about hypoglycemic effect of the plant polysaccharides and its mechanisms, Many plants polysaccharides had a good effect on reducing blood sugar. In this paper , the relevant studies were reviewed.
