Yeats is one of the most distinguished Irish poets. In poem Who Goes with Fergus displays his ambiguous attitude to the imagined nature and chaotic Irish society. Based on Empson’s ambiguity theory, the paper is to analyze the ambiguity art of the poem and get the conclusion that its ambiguity is due to Yeats’ambivalent spirit and mind.
