Based on a high-rise residential district as an example ,this paper according to the engineering geological and hydrogeological conditions ,analyzes the karst stability ,and combined with the stratum situation ,puts forward the ad-vice of the selection of the foundation form and the bearing stratum and the anti -floating design of underground space .
