Victoria“Longwood hybrid” is a well-known large tropical aquatic plant of high ornamental value. Pythiumleaf rot disease on Victoria water lily is a seedling -stage devastating disease caused by Pythiumhelicoides. In this paper the symptoms and pathogenesis of the disease were summarized and its predisposing factors in greenhouse seedling-raising were analyzed. Some key control techniques were systematically summarized fromthe aspects of agricultural measures and chemical control.
