The sticking steel plate is a common method for old bridge reinforcement.Based on the assumption of flexural member section,the calculation formula of bearing capacity of the rectan-gular section beam reinforced by sticking steel plate is developed.Combined with engineering ca-ses,the calculation formula is analyzed and demonstrated,which provides references for the actu-al reinforcing design and the construction of sticking steel plate.
