语言迁移指习得语和目的语之间的共性和差异所造成的影响。语言迁移是双向的,经过多年学习后,习得语也会受到目的语的影响。语言迁移不是一成不变的,可分为语言系统的迁移和认知体系的迁移两大阶段,不同阶段呈现不同的迁移特征,随着学习者目的语水平的提高而变化。正确把握迁移规律,利用迁移特点,对大学英语教学有促进作用。

Language transfer is the influence resulting from the similarities and the differ-ences between the target language and the acquired language.Language transfer is bidirection-al,so the native language can also be influenced by the target language that has been learned for several years.Language transfer is dynamic,which can be divided into two stages broadly;linguistic system transfer and cognitive system transfer.In each stage,language transfer has dif-ferent characteristics which vary with the improvement of the learner’ s target language.It has important significance to promote college English teaching if we grasp the law of transfer cor-rectly and take advantage of its characteristics properly.
