Adhering to lifelong education and updating knowledge and skills are the eternal theme of social development. Vocational education should also play an important role in this tide. Insisting on the concept of lifelong education, this article will actively explore a new model of open vocational education from four aspects ranging from professional qualification certificate training, construction large practical training bases, cooperation between enterprises and colleges, and development of internet instructional resources, with the purpose of cultivating high skilled personnel. In addition, it will also ensure the implementation of the new model of open vocational education from the aspects of the establishment of long-term mechanism, improvement of policies and regulations and enforcement of standardized management.
