Ship maneuvering safety closely related to whether she has speed,the rudder effect will be very poor when the ship in low speed condition,the vessel is the most dangerous concentration when drifting ,be-cause she is not under command . Therefore,special attention should be paid to control the speed when approac-hing the pilot station. This paper introduces“the five minutes ship maneuvering method"accurate adjustment of ETA,ensure that the ship navigation safety,to reduce the risk of conditions.
