In order to improve the accuracy of calculating minimum trapping pressure with the software VTflinc, the param-eters involved were rsearched by means of petrographic methods, fluorescence spectroscopy and simulations. The results show that the fluorescence interference which causes oil inclusions border distortion is the main cause of the calculation er-rors of degree of gas bubble filling. As transmitted light photos have no fluorescence interference, they can be used as a standard to calibrate borders of oil inclusions in the CLSM optical slices. It is not sufficient to select oil from related reser-voirs based on similar space as the initial component, and the consistency of fluorescence should also be considered. The occurrence and phase of inclusions should be considered firstly when identifying the coeval petroleum and aqueous inclu-sions. Attentions need to be paid to the coeval petroleum and aqueous inclusions in secondary changes, which need to be removed after identified.
