电力是重要的能源工业，在国民经济发展中扮演着重要角色。梳理清末民国时期电力的发展轨迹，它是推动近代中国经济社会发展的重要引擎。具体而言，这时期电力保障所取得的成效日渐显著。一是在国家经济政策的引导下，电力保障的制度化建设得以逐步完善。二是在电网建设上实现从区域分布不均衡逐渐朝趋于均衡、覆盖面更为广泛的方向发展。三是在经营格局上实现从外资主导向自主经营、从民营渐次向国营发展的转变。进而言之，探讨电力保障问题是从一个视角观察近代中国能源经济发展演进的轨迹。

Power,an important energy industry,plays a vital role in the development of national economy.By a review of the power development track from late Qing dynasty to the period of the Republic of China,we find that power was a major engine in promoting economic and social development of modern China.Specifically,increasingly prominent achievements had been made in this period.Firstly,under the guide of the national economic policy,the system construction of power security was gradually improved.Secondly,power grid construction was growing from the regional distribution imbalance to balance and broader cover-age.Finally,management pattern achieved the transition from foreign fund-leading to independent and from private to state.In fact,to explore the power protection is to observe the development track of the energy economy of modern China from a new an-gle.
