项目研究课程是德国应用技术大学模块手册中的一门课程，该课程侧重培养学生组织项目和实施项目的能力。其项目研究课程由浅入深分为初始项目研究、发展项目研究和企业项目研究三个层次，项目研究课题由系部组织教授根据专业情况共同命题，确定项目研究的要求、组织办法，学生根据项目要求实施研究，最后教授进行管理和评价。该课程对培养学生的自主学习积极性、团队协作精神、创新能力、系统思维方式等有重要意义，我国职业教育课程体系改革应该以此为鉴。
