四氢姜黄素（THC）作为姜黄素（CUR）在生物体内的主要代谢产物，近年来受到国内外学者广泛关注。已有学者报道四氢姜黄素具有降血糖、降血脂、抗转移、抗癌、抗抑郁等药理学作用，同时发现其在抗氧化、降血糖、降血脂等方面的药理活性均优于姜黄素。本文系统地阐述了四氢姜黄素近年在药理毒理学、药物代谢动力学以及新剂型研发方面的研究进展，并对近年来四氢姜黄素的临床前的研究报道进行归纳，旨在为四氢姜黄素进一步研究及开发提供新的思路。

Tetrahydrocurcumin (THC) is a major metabolite of curcumin (CUR) in the body, which has received a lot of attentions. Scholars reported the pharmacological activities of THC on reducing blood glucose, blood lipid, anti-metastatic, anti-cancer activity and anti-depression. Meanwhile, it showed that the pharmacological activities of THC on antioxidation, reducing blood glucose and blood lipid were better than CUR. This article systematically elaborated recent research progress on THC from aspects of pharmacological activity and toxicity, pharmacokinetics, and new formulation development. The preclinical studies on THC were also summarized in order to provide new ideas for the further research and development of THC.
