对小果含笑进行了细胞学研究，首次报道了其染色体数目和核形态结构。小果含笑的核型公式为2 n＝38＝32m＋6sm，小果含笑染色体臂比值大于2︰1的染色体占比为15.79％，染色体类型为2B，是含笑属植物中较为不对称的类型。初步探讨了小果含笑核型所揭示的系统学意义。

A karyomorphological study on Michelia microcarpa B.L.Chen et S.C.Yang was carried out.The re-search result shows that the karyotype is 2n=38=32m+6sm, and the chromosomes that the chromosome arm ratio is greater than 2 account for 15.79%.The chromosome type is 2B, and it is relatively asymmetrical type in the ge-nus Michelia.The relative systematic significance on the karyotype is discussed in this paper to some extent.
