当前新农村建设存在文化单一，低俗文化回潮；经济利诱，村民道德滑坡；沾染恶习，犯罪率回升等问题。传统家训是中华传统文化的珍贵遗产，对当前社会主义建设具有很大的价值。建设“富裕、文明、和谐”的社会主义新农村，中国传统家训有助于传承优秀传统文化，满足村民的文化需求；有益于立德树人，提高村民的道德修养；有利于村民敬长亲亲，和睦友邻；可以帮助村民克己明理，慎思慎行，有效遏制农村人口犯罪率回升的现象。
