In the paper,external pressure resistance checking formula in direct burial penstock designed with channel steel as stiffening ring is derived and calculated.Advantages and disadvantages of channel steel stiffening ring plans in different layout forms are analyzed and described,and it provides certain basis for designing stiffening which is ring made of channel steel.
