HALF-BREED is an autobiographic novel of Maria Campbell as a Métis woman writer in Canada, which is a story full of the psychological frustration of the writer herself as well as the frustration reflected among the whole group of half breed people through-out the Canadian society at her process of growing up. And the harsh conditions made by the government and the white people around forced them to survive the white society with painful struggle as well as some illegal ways to live on so that their family and future were under the threat of being jeopardized. And the struggle and fight against the unfair policy by the white paved the way to form an organization to help the half breed people to protect their human rights. This formed a flood all over Canada amongst the groups where Maria got het soul evoked.
