医疗纠纷预防处理是当前社会普遍关注的热点和难点问题。通过对保险在医疗纠纷预防处理中的作用进行理论分析，并对部分地区经验进行了总结。在此基础上，就如何发挥保险在医疗纠纷预防处理中的作用提出建议：在医疗纠纷预防处理立法中明确规定保险是预防和化解医疗纠纷的重要途径；积极开发与医疗纠纷预防处理相关的多种形式保险产品；优化外部环境，加强相关保险的政策支持和行业监管。

Medical dispute prevention and handling is a hotspot topic and also a difficult problem. Based on the theory analysis and field investigation on the role of insurance in preventing and handling medical dispute, suggestions which can be described as setting insurance as one of important approaches on preventing and handling medical dispute, actively developing medical dispute preventing and handling related insurance service, improving external environment and strengthening policy support and industry supervision.
