奥地利音乐评论家汉斯立克的《论音乐的美———音乐美学的修改刍议》百年来引起争议不断，其关于音乐内容、音乐美、音乐与人的感情关系等音乐美学方面的观点与中国魏晋时期的音乐家嵇康有着诸多共通之处。比较二者的音乐观，即是比较中西方音乐文化和音乐思维的特点。从中、西方音乐文化渊源入手，分析两位音乐家音乐观的历史成因；结合他们所身处的历史与社会环境，对中西乐音不同的运动特性即对“乐音的运动”和“运动的乐音”作较深入地分析，同时对音乐的情感、情绪等加以阐释；再结合中国当代音乐发展中的一些例子阐发一些思考，以期通过比较能展示出中国音乐所特有的、值得期待的美。

On the Beautiful in Music, a pamphlet by Eduard Hanslick, a famous Austrian music critic, has aroused contro-versy ever since its publication in 1854.He and Ji Kang, a Chinese thinker, writer and music critic of the Wei-jin dynasties, had much in common in their views of the content and beauty of music and of the relation between man and music.A com-parison of their views is basically a comparison of Western and Chinese ideas on music.I started with their respective niches in the history of music and analyzed the reasons for the conception of their views .Then I analyzed the movement of musical sounds in Chinese and Western music histories and social environments, a reflection on"the movement of musical sounds"and"musical sounds in movement", plus an explanation of the emotional changes brought about by music.It is hoped that my comparison of these two music critics can show the beauty inherent in Chinese music.
