The intelligent inspection robot applicable to the complex environment in valve hall was proposed in this paper in order to solve the defects and shortcomings of current equipment inspection methods. The matching and check of robot electric drive system core components were mainly introduced. Furthermore, it was used in valve hall. The practical running shows that:the robot can make automatic inspection according to the defined tasks with the data storing in the database, and the automatic recognition function was achieved. This paper presents a new intelligent detection method for the equipment in valve hall, which greatly improves the safety of equipment in valve hall.
