在大学数学课程教学过程中加强对学生的素质教育，一个主要方面就是提高学生的数学素养。通过对数学是一种科学文化的论述，探讨大学数学的文化价值及其对教育的影响，以及在“数学模型”课程中传播数学文化的重要性，指出任课教师应从文化的角度加强学生学习数学的兴趣，以达到提高学生数学素养的目的。

One of the important aspects of quality education is to streng-then students’ mathematical literacy in mathematical curriculum. This paper discusses the mathematical culture and its inlfuence to education,and the importance of spreading mathematical culture in the course of Mathematical Modeling. The teachers should intensify students’ mathematical quality from the point of mathematical cul-tural view.
