The overall design and constituent elements of the rooftop photovoltaic system for an office building in Hefei were introduced, and then the technology, cost and other aspects of the preliminary scheme for the system were analyzed. The photovoltaic materials and roof construction are integrated in the project, and the overall installation capacity is estimated to be 100 kWp, at the same time, the power gen-erating capacity is expected to be 110 000 kW·h. The energy-saving benefit, environmental benefit and e-conomic benefit of the system were obtained in the form of specific data through calculation and analysis, and research conclusion shows that solar energy photovoltaic power generation project not only saves energy effectively, but also has good social and economic benefits, and broad development prospects.
