Based on investigation about the traditional dwel ings in Yi county, the paper put forward the design conception include suiting measures to local conditions, suiting measures to local Environment and using the characteristics of the material and interpret the traditional culture, the material reused, low energy consumption and space integration etc by a design case about“New dwel ings design”of Yi county.
