我国处在经济转轨时期，社会环境的变化对职业教育产生了巨大的影响。本文论述了经济、社会、科技的发展和劳动力市场的变化对职业教育的新的要求和促进作用，深入分析了中、高职教育衔接的宏观社会背景和所面临的现状，提出了“根据不同的社会需求，实行不同的专业人才培养方案”，认真细致的分流引导，通过实施高职直升班、成教套读班、特色专业班、名企订单班、工学交替班等五类就读模式，实现中、高职的直通。
