《淮南子》中关于“廉”的论述有31条，关于“贪”的阐释与批评有47条，内容涉及政治、经济、文化、军事、道德等方面。书中对“贪”和“廉”的行为作出认定，分析了贪腐的原因并对惩治腐败提出了一些设想和措施。书中还论述了包括安徽循吏在内的先秦循吏的作为。

《회남자》중관우“렴”적논술유31조，관우“탐”적천석여비평유47조，내용섭급정치、경제、문화、군사、도덕등방면。서중대“탐”화“렴”적행위작출인정，분석료탐부적원인병대징치부패제출료일사설상화조시。서중환논술료포괄안휘순리재내적선진순리적작위。
In the book of Huainanzi, 31 pieces of arguments were about integrity, 47 pieces of explanation and criticism were about corruption. The topics involved politics, economics, culture, military affairs, and morality. The book not only identified integrity and corruption, but also analyzed the causes of corruption and posed some consideration and measures to fight against corruption. Moreover, the book discussed the deeds of pre-qin's model officials including those in Anhui of that time.
