Recently, the application of composites to naval warships′ superstructure has attracted extensive attention and drastic competition. In the article, the application, development and characteristics of composites to naval warships′ superstructure in several countries have been comprehensively researched and systematically described. Meanwhile, the application of composites to DDG 1000 destroyer′superstructure has been presented in detail as an example. Finally, the future development of composites used in naval warships′superstructure is discussed and some advices are put forward.
