简约主义音乐通常被认为是自20世纪开始发展起来的音乐风格以及创作模式，这种音乐的最大特点就是多次重复使用主题乐段，并且缓慢地或者不加更改地表现出和谐的音乐整体，与此同时，作曲家在创作过程中很少使用音乐材料完成创作，在高音素材方面主要以自然音体系作为基础，其中也使用了非功能的方式构成和弦进行。值得提到的是，简约主义音乐对于西方音乐发展产生了至关重要的作用，其在诞生之初虽然受到了很多音乐批评家的严厉批评，这些人认为简约主义音乐太过单一、死板且缺少动力，然而它却在学术研究方面以及先锋音乐家内获得了认可，此类音乐所包含的简约使一直追求单纯性音乐的作曲家们找到了创作灵感，获得了共鸣。简约主义音乐促使音乐发展进入了全新的阶段，许多著名作曲家逐渐通过这种作曲方式进行创作。

The minimalist music is usually considered as a music style and creative mode developing from the 20th century.The most significantly,it features a repeatedly use of themed passages and a slow or completely unchanged expression to harmonious music as a whole.Meanwhile,composer seldom completes a creation by using music materials in the process of composition. The high pitch materials are mainly based on natural sound system,in which chord is composed with a non-functional mode. It is worthy of mentioning that the minimalist music played a vital role to the development of the western music,which was se-verely criticized by many music critics in the beginning and thought to be too simple,rigid and passive.However,it was thought highly by academic researchers and pioneer musicians,and also its simple elements have promoted the composers who had always been in the pursuit of simplicity to get inspired and feel resonant.The minimalist music has driven the development of music into a new stage,and many famous composers have made creations gradually in this way.
