马宗荣在日本留学期间，曾于1926年针对中日两国图书馆界共同存在的食洋不化的问题，提出了创造世界共通的国际的图书馆学的理论构想，之后又相继发表多篇论文进一步完善该构想。因发表时代和语言的局限，这一构想长期以来湮没不闻，很少为国人所知，也影响了大家对马宗荣的认识和评价，故有必要对之进行全面而系统的介绍。
馬宗榮在日本留學期間，曾于1926年針對中日兩國圖書館界共同存在的食洋不化的問題，提齣瞭創造世界共通的國際的圖書館學的理論構想，之後又相繼髮錶多篇論文進一步完善該構想。因髮錶時代和語言的跼限，這一構想長期以來湮沒不聞，很少為國人所知，也影響瞭大傢對馬宗榮的認識和評價，故有必要對之進行全麵而繫統的介紹。

When studying in Japan ,Mr Ma Zongrong found out that due to the mechanical application of western li-brary science ,it was very difficult for the libraries in China and Japan to manage their books .In order to deal with these problems ,he put forward some ideas in one paper published in 1926 on how to create the international com-mon library science .After that he wrote three other papers to perfect his ideas .However ,these papers were not well known in China for being published on the Japanese journals .For this reason,it’s necessary to introduce the ideas comprehensively and systemically to the readers in China .
