随着科技的发展，传媒形态的丰富，报刊内部同质化竞争日益明显，报纸版面设计显得越来越重要。2000年至今，作为综合周报的《南方周末》基于国家政策的调整，新闻内容的增减，读者审美视角及市场需求变化等方面的原因，先后经历了多次改版，包括报纸的分叠、色彩的使用、报头的设计、图片的编排等方面，其版面设计整体上朝简约易读的方向发展。对《南方周末》的版面变化趋势予以分析研究，能为其未来发展及相关报纸的版面设计与优化等提供一定的借鉴。

With the development of technology and the enrichment of the forms of media, the competition of newspa-pers internal homogenization is increasingly evident, and the layout of newspaper is becoming more and more important. Based on the adjustment of national policies, the regulation of news content, the change of readers’ aesthetic perspective and the variety of market demand, Southern Weekly, as an integrated weekly, has experienced a number of revisions since 2000, including the sub-stack of newspapers, the color use, the header design and the arrangement of pictures and so on. In general, its layout design tends to be simpler and easier to read. Doing this research can be used for reference for the future development of the Southern Weekly, and for the design or even for the optimization of other related newspaper.
